David O'Doherty

Check out Very Mild Super Powers, The Text Song and Orange. Others have bad language so watch at your own risk!

You asked for it...

Ok, fine! I'll post a picture of myself. Just let it be noted that I'm kicking and screaming like a two year old who's mother won't buy her a piece of candy in the checkout line at Wal-Mart!! The pic was taken back in June while I was visiting my friend Elaine in Ireland. She's the one on the right and her mother Nancy is in the middle. Nancy had just treated us to dinner at the really nice Lady Gregory Hotel there in Gort (pic of Gort top right of page). It kinda drives me crazy that the pic isn't centered but then again it does cut off a good portion of me!! :-) So there you go!

Temple worker

For those of you who don't know, I started two months ago as a temple worker at the Houston Temple. I work the Wednesday evening shift, 5:30 - 10. So far it's been the most intense spiritual experience. No huge miracles, no visions from heaven, but the most peaceful feeling you can imagine. So, if you are in town and want to see me, you know where I'll be on a Wednesday night.

Cool new (to me) author - Stephenie Meyer

In case anyone might be looking for a new author to read, try Stephenie Meyer. I came across an article about her while I was surfing the net at work last week (at lunchtime of course!!). I think what really caught my attention was when the interviewer asked her how a Mormon writes about vampires. That got my attention real quick! So I looked her up on the web and found that she's written a vampire trilogy written for young adults - Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse. I got the books yesterday and I'm about a third of the way through Twilight and I'm loving it. I won't say anymore and leave it to you to judge. Over on the right side of the page I've put a link to Stephenie's website so you can go and see for yourself. When you get to her site, click on Twilight Series.

First time for everything...

I'm sitting here trying to figure out what to say and nothing is coming to mind. Several of my friends lately have started their own blogs and I thought to myself, why not? First time for everything.

I don't lead a very interesting life, but for those of you who love me but don't live anywhere near me, you can visit here and see how I'm doing.
